Shields Valley Ranchers

Shields Valley Ranchers was founded by Eric and Juliana Robinson in order to bring people the same prime tasting beef that ranchers enjoy. We know where our beef comes from and we know that the animals were taken care of with love and compassion. We want you to know those things too! We believe that everyone should have access to high quality, healthy, ranch raised beef just like we do.

Eric is a native Montana Rancher. His family goes back generations in the area and he is proud to be a local rancher carrying on the tradition. As a child, he went to school with kids who dreamed of big cities beyond Montana, but Eric wanted to stay here and ranch. Montana is his home and ranching is what he loves.  His father taught him that cattles' needs come first; before he gets his breakfast, the cattle get theirs. If he is thirsty, then he checks to see if the cattle need water. Eric is not only great with cattle but can take care of most anything on the ranch from fenching to machinery breakdowns. What he really loves is to share the joys of ranching with his family, especially if he can do it on horseback. Juliana also comes from a long line of generational agriculture and believes someone needs to be a voice and advocate for agriculture. Juliana grew up on a Christmas Tree Farm and because of her different background is a huge asset to Shields Valley Ranchers. Juliana helps to remind Eric that not everyone knows as much as him about ranching and beef! Juliana's parents taught her the business side of agriculture and she also spent a lot of time with her grandfather who was a large and small animal veterinarian. Juliana was brought up to take care of the land and the animals.

At this time the beef for Shields Valley Ranchers is supplied by Robinson Ranch. The Robinson family has been ranching for generations and we want to preserve that history and values by being able to pass down a successful Robinson Ranch to the next generation. Robinson beef is raised with the utmost care. Thought goes into the impact on the land, the environment and the livestock themselves. Without those three things, Robinson Ranch would cease to exist. At Robinson Ranch we believe better feed and better animal handling equals better beef. We believe that hard work pays off and the food tastes better because of it. When our family sits down around the table we know where our beef came from, we know that each piece of meat will taste prime, and we know that the animals were taken care of with love and compassion. Robinson Ranch wants others to know those same things. That is why Robinson Ranch is taking steps to make sure other families have access to the same type of product that we have.
